VHS courses and lectures on health and well-being
VHS course: "Autogenic Training according to Johannes Heinrich Schultz – Basic Level for Adults"
Starting Wednesday, August 12, 2026, the course "Autogenic Training according to Johannes Heinrich Schultz – Basic Level for Adults" with instructor Beatrix Kemmer will take place on ten evenings from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
Autogenic Training according to J.H. Schultz is a physically and mentally induced deep relaxation through autosuggestion. This means that a pleasant relaxation state can be achieved by self-induced relaxation formulas, which can be quickly induced with some practice. Autogenic Training promotes well-being and improves concentration. This relaxation technique counteracts psychosomatically caused functional disorders and thus makes an important contribution to health prevention, calmness, and serenity.

VHS course: "Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) according to Jacobson"
Starting Wednesday, August 12, 2026, the course "Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) according to Jacobson" with instructor Beatrix Kemmer will take place on ten afternoons from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Progressive Muscle Relaxation induces a state of deep relaxation of the entire body by tensing and relaxing specific muscle groups. The muscle tension is held briefly and then released again, while participants fully concentrate on their sensations. Progressive Muscle Relaxation can be used, among other things, to target sleep disorders, stress, restlessness, agitation, tension states, as well as pain conditions. VHS course: "Qigong 8 Brocades"
Starting Friday, August 14, 2026, the course "Qigong 8 Brocades" with instructor Beatrix Kemmer will begin from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The event comprises ten afternoons.
The 8 Brocade exercises are a very old and health-preserving form of Qigong. This form is especially suitable for you if you are a beginner in Qigong. Through strength, grace, and conscious breathing, these slowly executed movements can be a very good aid against stress and generate inner strength. The 8 Brocades support the inner state of calm through the gentle nature of the movements and have a strengthening effect on the whole body. The alternation between rest and movement, softness and strength, as well as relaxation and tension, are important aspects of this precious form of Qigong. The course is for all who like to actively work on their health and well-being themselves.
