Adventure world for families on August 8 in Lebach
After the huge success last year, the city of Lebach is again inviting to its event "Kids in the City" in 2026. At the end of the summer holidays, the pedestrian zone and town hall square will once again transform into a large adventure world for children, teenagers, and families on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
From exciting hands-on activities to creative offerings to music, magic, and a spectacular fire show, visitors can expect a varied program. Numerous local clubs, institutions, and companies are participating in the family event to ensure an eventful day in downtown Lebach.
Marlenes Dance World offers an active participation program for kids of all age groups at 8:30 pm. As a special highlight, there will be an impressive fire show to close the event. From around 9 pm, "Feuerspiel Saar from Hülzweiler" will present their fire skills.
Between the program points, the stilt walkers of the Circolo Stilt Theater entertain throughout the festival grounds and surprise the guests with their imaginative performances.
Great fun is also provided by a huge landscape of bounce houses rented from Engel Hüpfburgenverleih in Lebach, with several attractions including a large bounce house course as well as throwing and soccer darts. Technical equipment and emergency vehicles can be explored through the hands-on activities of the Lebach Youth Fire Department and the THW Lebach. The football players of SG Lebach/Landsweiler invite visitors to goal wall shooting with speed measurement.
Book lovers are also catered for: Anne Treib Book & Paper and the "Network Reading Joy" offer reading sessions for children, various games, and a large book table.
Numerous other creative offerings such as face painting, glitter tattoos, bracelet making, painting, and crafting are organized by the city youth welfare office, levoBank, the Protestant parish, the Landsweiler Music Club, and the Lebach Taekwondo Club.
Special walking acts include the "Ice Sisters."
ProKIND provides awe-inspiring XXL soap bubbles for children's delight.
An additional program item is the children’s and toy flea market, where children of all ages can browse, trade, and hunt for bargains from 3 pm.
The city of Lebach looks forward to many small and large visitors and to an unforgettable end of the holidays at "Kids in the City" in downtown Lebach. Admission and participation are of course free!
