The State Agency for Road Construction (LfS) informs:
L 247 – Road surface repair in Quierschied-Fischbach
The State Agency for Road Construction (LfS) will begin repairing road surface damage on the L 247 in the Quierschied-Fischbach town center (Saarbrücken Regional Association) on Monday, July 27, 2026.
A detour will be set up for the duration of the closure. It leads from the L 247 through Fischbach to the L 127 (“Weiherstraße”) and continues on the open road toward Merchweiler. At Quierschied, traffic will be diverted via the street “Am Bahnhof” onto the L 262 (“Bahnhofstraße”). From there, the detour continues through the center of Quierschied (“Alter Markt” / “Holzer Straße”), then towards Holz and via the L 128 (“Saarstraße”) back to the L 247 to Fischbach. The opposite direction follows the corresponding reverse route.
Within the closed section are the Quierschied-Fischbach elementary school as well as the junction areas of the streets “Zu den Eichenstangen” and “Am Gumbert.” The closure will be set up up to the middle of the affected junction areas. Traffic between the two adjoining streets and the L 247 (“Heusweilerstraße”) will be regulated by a two-way traffic light system during the construction work.
Residents of the street “Zu den Eichenstangen” can only exit towards Holz during the construction period. For the street “Am Gumbert,” there is only a connection towards the town center during this time.
The LfS anticipates traffic disruptions during the construction period. Road users are asked to use the signposted detour, consider possible delays when planning their route, and to drive especially attentively and considerately in the construction area.
