ZKE Recycling Center Wiesenstraße: changed opening hours from July 14 to 17
The recycling center of the municipal Central Waste Management Service (ZKE) at Wiesenstraße 20 in Malstatt will be open from Tuesday, July 14th, to Friday, July 17th, inclusive, due to the current heat wave, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
An adjustment of the opening hours is necessary because the Wiesenstraße recycling center is located on asphalted ground without large-scale roofing. This causes an extremely high heat buildup on the site. To protect users of the recycling center as well as the employees of the ZKE, the opening hours will therefore be adjusted temporarily.
Alternatively, citizens can dispose of their waste and recyclable materials at the recycling center at "Am Holzbrunnen" 4 in St. Johann as usual on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. as well as on Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. All other disposal facilities of the ZKE are also open as usual.
Thereafter, the regular opening hours will also apply again at the recycling center in Wiesenstraße. If there are any short-term changes due to further weather developments, the state capital will provide separate information.
