Mayor Uwe Conradt calls for participation in the "World Cleanup Day"
Mayor Uwe Conradt calls on citizens to participate in this year's "World Cleanup Day" on Sunday, September 20.
“The ‚World Cleanup Day‘ shows every year anew what we can achieve together for our city and the environment. Those who participate set a visible sign for more cleanliness, responsibility, and quality of life in Saarbrücken,” said the mayor.
City supports with materials and collects accumulated garbage
The state capital Saarbrücken supports everyone who wants to participate in the "World Cleanup Day" for cleaner cities by providing grabbers and garbage bags. The collected waste is picked up by employees of the city's Central Municipal Waste Management Service (ZKE).
Anyone who wants to participate in the "World Cleanup Day" and take advantage of the support from ZKE can register by Friday, September 4, at www.saarbruecken.de/cleanupday.
To show how clean the city can become when many people help, participants are invited to send photos before and after their cleaning action to internet@saarbruecken.de. The state capital publishes the images through its digital media.
