St. Ingbert promotes the use of public water dispensers on World Refill Day
On the occasion of World Refill Day on June 16th, the city of St. Ingbert draws attention to the importance of public water dispensers and promotes conscious use of single-use plastics.
The international day of action has been supported in Germany by Refill Deutschland since 2022. The goal is to establish free refilling of water bottles as a simple and sustainable alternative to single-use plastic bottles.
Public water dispensers are available for this purpose in St. Ingbert, making an important contribution to waste reduction and climate protection. The city aims to further promote and raise awareness of their use.
Mayor Ulli Meyer emphasizes: "Our water dispensers are a simple and effective offering. Every refilled bottle saves plastic and protects the environment. Additionally, our St. Ingbert water has the best drinking water quality."
Citizens can find public water dispensers, for example, in the city library, in the city hall, or in the town hall (citizen service center). In addition, there is a drinking water fountain in the pedestrian zone.
