The summer holidays are getting colorful again: With the popular children's culture series "Klamauk," the city of Völklingen invites you to six joyful afternoons full of magic, music, and interactive fun in 2026. Every Wednesday, the Adolph-Kolping-Platz behind the Old Town Hall transforms into a lively stage – all with free admission.
An Opening Full of Music
This year it starts on July 1st with singer Jennifer Waack and her children's music program "Sing-Glöckchen." With imaginative songs and specially designed choreographies, she encourages the children to dance and sing along.
Magical New Addition
Long no stranger in the world of magicians, but never involved in the slapstick before: LilaLucy will perform for the first time at Adolph-Kolping-Platz on July 8th and brings a suitcase full of magic tricks that she wants to discover together with the audience.
Magic tricks to amaze
Next up is Maxim Maurice. The magician, who usually performs as a grand illusionist, impressively proves on July 15th that he can also amaze small audiences.
Children's Songs to Join In
On July 22, retired teacher Dennis W. Ebert will bring his participatory children's musical “Eddi Magic Finger” to the stage for some fun and encourage intergenerational participation, as parents and grandparents join in the dancing.
Fun and Clowning
Clown Lolek, an old familiar face in slapstick comedy, will perform behind the Old Town Hall on July 29. In his show, he proves that tidying up with a bit of humor and imagination is only half as bad and invites the young visitors to actively support him.
A magical conclusion
The grand finale on August 5th is presented by magician Kalibo. With astonishing tricks, he makes children's eyes light up – and turns many children into little magicians themselves before the school routine begins again.
All information at a glance
The events each start at 3:00 PM at Adolph-Kolping-Platz behind the Old Town Hall in Völklingen. Admission is free, and no registration is required. In case of bad weather, the performances will unfortunately be canceled without replacement.
