Culture and sport in the heart of the town TheelFeschd for the first time at the new town hall square On Friday and Saturday, June 26 and 27, the city of Lebach invites you to the TheelFeschd. Under the well-established motto "Culture and Sport – in the heart of the town," visitors can expect a varied program for the whole family. This year there is a new feature: for the first time, the festival will not take place on Bitcher Platz, but on the newly designed town hall square. The sporting kickoff is the 41st levoBank city run on Friday. The start gun for the first run will be fired as early as 4:30 p.m. The 10-kilometer main race (start at 6:30 p.m.) will be held as a championship race of the Saarland Athletics Association (SLB). The course is officially measured by the German Athletics Association (DLV) and thus also offers the framework conditions for ambitious runners. In addition to the main race, numerous other competitions are on the program: a Bambini run for the youngest participants, a Special Run for people with disabilities, a 2.5 km school run, as well as a trial run over 5 kilometers. Especially popular is also the relay competition, in which teams of four can complete the 10-kilometer distance together. Whether women's, men's, or mixed teams – clubs, companies, organizations, and groups of friends traditionally use this opportunity for sporting team spirit and shared fun. For the first time this year, the start and finish of all runs are directly at the town hall. The award ceremonies will also be held there afterwards, so athletes and spectators can celebrate their successes together. The run organizer is TV Lebach, whose website www.tv-lebach.de provides all the information. Musically, TheelFeschd also has a lot to offer: On Friday evening from 8:30 p.m., the band "Changes" will create a great atmosphere with the best pop, rock, and club hits of past decades. On Saturday, "Dynamic Lounge" takes over the "Molter Tiefbau" stage from 9 p.m., promising the best party atmosphere. Saturday afternoon is also dedicated to another sporting highlight: At the 1st Lebach Sackloch Tournament, hobby teams can prove their skills from 3 p.m. Organization and registration are handled by SC Lebach at info@sclebach.de. The contact person is Marc Weber. Both days will be well catered. Visitors can look forward to a diverse selection of food and drinks, including crêpes, specialities from the smoker such as pulled pork and baked potatoes, as well as spring rolls, pizza, pasta, and Mexican burritos. Cool drinks are available at the stands of FV Lebach, TV Lebach, SC Lebach, and CVL. The offerings range from freshly tapped beer and mixed drinks to wine, sparkling wine, Aperol, and cocktails. "The event location will change – the concept remains," emphasizes Mayor Klauspeter Brill. "With the change of the festival site, we have many more possibilities, can present the stands more generously, offer more seating, and also involve the local gastronomy in the pedestrian zone. In addition, visitors can use Bitcher Platz as a parking lot without restrictions on all weekdays and weekends as usual." Due to the change of location, the start and finish area of the city run as well as the route will be modified compared to previous years. "I cordially invite everyone to cheer on the runners along the course and the teams at the Sackloch tournament, and then celebrate together at TheelFeschd. 'Culture & Sport in the heart of the town' is a concept that has been very well received for years and will once again attract athletes and party guests from all over Saarland to Lebach this year," the mayor looks forward to.
