For Sunday, June 14, 2026, the city of Völklingen, together with Mayor Tautz, invites you to a guided bike tour as part of the Stadtradeln campaign. In cooperation with Hans Holderbaum from the ADFC local chapter Völklingen, a route has been created that leads over Heidstock, the Simschel waterworks, the Mathilden shaft, the Röchlinghöhe, and the Martinskirche to Wehrden (subject to change). The tour is suitable for children from 8 years old and adults of all ages and fitness levels. Breaks are planned at several points. Depending on the weather and length of breaks, the tour is expected to last between 3 and 4 hours. A cozy get-together is planned at the end of the tour. Participation is at your own risk and according to traffic regulations.
Registration for the guided bike tour is desired for better planning at the email address of Mr. Silas Reimann (municipal traffic planner) provided below, but is not mandatory. Interested participants are also welcome to join the group spontaneously on June 14th and start pedaling. The meeting point is at 10 a.m. in front of the New Town Hall.
Cyclists can join an existing group to collectively accumulate kilometers or create their own team at www.stadtradeln.de/voelklingen. The kilometers ridden are entered digitally and thus count towards the team ranking in the competition.
There is no specific team for the guided tour on June 14th. Participants can enter the kilometers cycled during the tour into an existing school or club team. Those who wish to take part in the guided tour can register by e-mail with the city traffic planner Silas Reimann: silas.reimann@voelklingen.de. Anyone without internet access or with questions about participation can also contact Mr. Reimann by phone at Tel.: 06898/13 2119.
