Schwaggi must stay

Von Redaktion Landkreis Saarlouis | 06.12.2024 22:58 | Lesedauer: 1 minute

Preserving tradition even as an era ends. After decades of dedication and hospitality, Herta and Steffen, the hosts of the traditional "Schwaggis" in Saarlouis' old town, are retiring. They ran the venue with great passion, making it a beloved meeting place for locals and visitors alike.

The Mayor of the European City of Saarlouis, Marc Speicher, emphasizes the importance of this cultural heritage and wants to ensure that the establishment remains a meeting place and the heart of the old town in the future. “This establishment is more than just a place to eat and drink. It is a piece of Saarlouis identity and represents tradition, sociability, and the special charm of our old town. Therefore, we hope for a successor who will continue the legacy with tradition and good home-style cooking and preserve the unique atmosphere of this house.”

The establishment is not tied to any brewery, and interested parties can contact the property owner directly. Bayram Kaya can be reached by phone at 0151-21102816.

The European city of Saarlouis and the innkeepers hope for a swift successor so that the traditional establishment remains a lively meeting place and an important part of life in Saarlouis in the future.
