When officers from the Nordsaarland Police Department arrived on the scene, they found that the injuries had been caused by her partner. He had previously struck her multiple times in the face with his hands during an argument, threatened, and insulted her. As a result, the victim had to be treated in a hospital, where a nasal fracture was diagnosed. The intoxicated and highly uncooperative partner was meanwhile expelled from the apartment. A ban on returning for several days was also issued. During these measures, he repeatedly insulted the police officers. When the victim returned home from the hospital accompanied by the officers, she found that her partner was once again inside their shared apartment. The apartment door was blocked from the inside, and the man was loudly cursing inside. The officers had no choice but to forcibly open the door and take the offender into custody. In the end, he was required to spend the night in the cell at the Nordsaarland Police Department. He now faces several criminal proceedings on suspicion of threats, bodily harm, and insults.
