Officers from the Saarbrücken City Police Department were initially able to locate the injured person, who was taken to a Saarbrücken hospital with suspected traumatic brain injury after receiving initial medical treatment.
The police investigation revealed that the perpetrator first knocked the injured party to the ground and then kicked him with full force in the head. The perpetrator, a 22-year-old from Saarbrücken, was apprehended by the police near the crime scene. Upon request of the public prosecutor’s office, a blood sample was taken from him, and he also underwent an identification procedure. According to initial investigations, the background of the crime lies in longstanding disputes between the perpetrator and the victim.
