Many will still remember the delicious food at the green trailer. Until two years ago, the food truck was in the same spot, but back then, business was slowed down by Corona. "Now we are starting here with a new team," say the two managers Laura Peccheneda and Denis Klass with enthusiasm. "Our advantage is that we have both worked in all areas of the World Food Trip, whether in the office or in the food truck. So, we are familiar with everything and can react quickly and flexibly."
Since the beginning of September, the food truck has been open again. The delicious dishes can be picked up or enjoyed directly at the small tables. Vegan street food in the form of wraps, burgers, bowls, fries, salads, and döner varieties are on the menu, and the appropriate drinks are of course also offered. "Sustainability is very important to us," says the young manager, "so that as little food as possible ends up in the bin, we work closely with the food sharing team in St. Ingbert, who take care of the distribution. This way, everything fits perfectly into our concept in the end."
For the reopening, the city administration and the St. Ingbert Trade & Commerce Association (HGSI) gave a small gift and a bouquet of flowers. "It has almost become a tradition for us to personally welcome new businesses. This way, you get to know your contacts and know where to turn to with any questions," said Martina Quirin, Head of the Economic Unit, greeting the two entrepreneurs and their team. Nico Ganster and Wolfgang Blatt from HGSI also wished them much success and good business. "We will surely meet here more often during lunchtime," smiled Nico Ganster, who is especially looking forward to the delicious bowls.
World Food Trip is now represented at four locations
During the Oktoberfest, the Ingobertus Fair, and the subsequent carnival, the food truck moves for about four weeks to the front side of the marketplace on Rickertstraße. After that, it returns to its familiar regular spot.
World Food Trip has been operating in Saarland with several food trucks for eight years now. "We are located in Homburg on Zweibrücker Straße, in Saarbrücken on Koßmannstraße, and now again in St. Ingbert at the marketplace. Outside of Saarland, we also have a location in Zweibrücken on Rosengartenstraße," explains Denis Klass. He also points out that the green food truck can be booked for festivals and large events.
"We feel comfortable here and are very grateful for the perfect cooperation with the city administration and HGSI. You couldn't be received better in a city," Laura Peccheneda and Denis Klass say with a smile.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 11:30 AM to 8 PM. Pre-orders are gladly accepted at 0176 – 3441 8178.
