When Eppelborn's mayor Andreas Feld and Dirmingen's local head Frank Klein meet this week in Brühlpark in Dirmingen, there is still nothing to see. But very soon, the long-awaited redesign and the associated enhancement of Brühlpark will begin. This enhancement of Brühlpark has been at the top of the political agenda in Dirmingen for many years.
The measures aim to enhance the quality of stay. The focus is both on physical activity and relaxation. The construction of a boule court and the installation of a table tennis table are intended to provide the population of Dirmingen with a meeting place where they can pursue their sporting hobby together. The sets of tables and benches, installed as part of the measures, ensure that Brühlpark invites people to linger. Safety for visitors and passers-by is guaranteed by the five new, state-of-the-art lighting masts. The park and beach festival this summer showed that Brühlpark is an excellent venue for celebrations. Therefore, a festival site distribution cabinet for electricity and water is being installed on the premises. This measure also includes the laying of electricity and drinking water lines in this area. Around three weeks are planned for the main work; however, the municipality's building department points out that delivery times have become very long.
The local mayor Frank Klein is very pleased that the measure can now start thanks to the support of the municipality. Realizing it is very important to him. "The municipality is very happy to support this project in Brühlpark. Even in view of the increased costs, we are committed to this measure and have sought ways to realize this important project for Dirmingen together. It is important that we maintain and create places in all districts that serve as important meeting points for the village population. Because that is what defines our districts, it gives them their own identity," explains Mayor Andreas Feld on this matter.
