After a two-year corona break, it is now time again: from September 17 to 20, 2022, the city of Völklingen invites you once more to the traditional autumn fair around the New Town Hall. Numerous rides for young and old, game stalls, and food and drink offers ensure entertaining days. On "Family Day," Tuesday, September 20, the showmen offer their attractions at reduced prices.
Local head Stephan Tautz will carry out the keg tapping at 5 p.m. on the opening Saturday and also welcome the "Kirwehannes." The Völklingen Marching Band will musically accompany the Kirwehannes to his place on the fairground.
Fair
As part of the Völklingen Autumn Fair, a market will also take place on Tuesday, September 20. It stretches from Adolph Kolping Square, the City Promenade, over the Parish Garden to the Forbach Passage. Up to 45 vendors offer their extensive range. In addition to textiles of all kinds, household and gift items, care and cleaning products, spices, leather goods, jewelry, and steel products are also sold.
The fair activities end on Tuesday evening.
