Everyone today wants regional food that is good, clean, and fair. Slow Food has been a global movement for 30 years. Together with farmers, artisanal producers, restaurateurs, and consumers, it advocates for food to be produced and traded in a good, clean, and fair manner. Slow Food aims to preserve and create the diversity of flavors in many ways.
In Saarland, this movement has also existed for 20 years now. Holger Gettmann, the current chairman, reports on regional and local peculiarities regarding good and fair food and provides many event tips. He uses a wide variety of channels for this.
What does this mean for us in everyday life? How can we benefit from it individually, where does it become difficult? How does regional and seasonal shopping work? What are fair prices when the work of the producers is examined more closely? All questions that are not easy to answer…
During and after the lecture, there is ample time for questions and discussions.
