The FDP Saar, with its state chairman Oliver Luksic, considers the criticism of the federal government's budget draft, specifically regarding the amount allocated for "services for integration into work", to be inappropriate.
The total budget for providing integration services and administrative costs is estimated at 9.25 billion euros annually starting from the fiscal year 2023.
Although the number of employable benefit recipients has decreased in recent years, the total budget can be increased by up to 600 million euros through remaining unspent funds.
In addition, further measures can be funded with up to 700 million euros through the receipt of the so-called passive-active transfer.
As a result, in 2023 an even higher funding amount per employable beneficiary can be made available, more than before the pandemic began in 2019 under a CDU-led federal government.
“The criticism of the budget now expressed by members of the CDU is not only hypocritical. It is above all unobjective and suggests that the critics have not sufficiently familiarized themselves with the topic. Compared to the black-led federal government, the traffic light coalition has increased the possible funding per capita. The CDU deliberately spreads misinformation with its interpretation; instead, it should stick to the facts,” said the deputy FDP state chairwoman Angelika Hießerich-Peter.
