Short Hike with Forest Bathing – Recharge Strength and Energy A Forest Experience for Young and Old

Meeting point is on Sunday, 12.06.2022, at 8:45 AM at the Wild- and Hiking Park Weiskirchen in front of the Wildparkalm. Start is from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

The air is spicy, the light green, the forest floor soft and full of life. Perfect conditions for a mindful stay in the forest and in nature. The healing powers of nature have a positive effect on body, mind, and soul. “Shinrin Yoku” – “a conscious stay in the forest, immersing all senses into the untouched forest” – is what it is called in Japanese, where the origin of forest bathing comes from. In the past, people intuitively knew that spending time in the forest and in nature is beneficial. Studies have shown that stress hormones are reduced, the immune system and blood pressure are strengthened, concentration and healthy sleep are positively influenced. Forest bathing can be a preventive measure against depression and burnout, as well as increase quality of life. The great thing is: forest bathing works in all seasons. The Shinrin Yoku forest bathing at the Wild- and Hiking Park Weiskirchen offers an opportunity to experience the forest and nature with all senses and recharge energy in the forest. Participants can discover inspiring places, enjoy silence, and recharge inner peace and strength. They experience the healing power of the forest under the expert guidance of Markus Marburger, a forest health trainer. He was trained by the Kneipp Physicians Association in Bad Wörishofen. He slowly and consciously leads participants through the forest. The senses are engaged with birdsong, sunbeams, raindrops, and more. The view into the distance as well as feeling nature are components of forest bathing, during which supportive mindfulness exercises are offered. Everything is optional, nothing is compulsory.

Ready for a break? For information and registration, contact Markus Marburger at 0176 – 23815983 or Info@waldbaden-saarland.de, or the Hochwald Tourism office by phone at 06876 / 70937 or by email at hochwald-touristik@weiskirchen.de. The participation fee is €30.00, of which €2.50 will be donated to the forest. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes or hiking boots, and bring enough drinks. Markus Marburger and Hochwald Tourism warmly invite you!

Another appointment is Sunday, July 3, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
