Völklingen-Wehrden, January 2026 – Originally launched as a digital online event during the corona period in 2020, today marked the third in-person event of the children's carnival show of the VSK youth in Völklingen-Wehrden. The organizer was the Karnevalsgesellschaft Die Rosselanos 1955 e.V.
The children's carnival show has long since become a fixed part of the Saarland carnival event calendar. This year again, the young performers delighted with a colorful and captivating program of dance, music, and show. In total, 13 performances from 10 clubs were presented – an impressive testament to the diversity, creativity, and commitment of the carnival youth in Saarland.
Among the guests of honor were the Prince Couple of the Year, Prince Wolfgang III and Princess Carina I of the Gold-Blue Sparks Saarwellingen, who supported the young talents with much applause and visibly enjoyed the wonderful performances. Also present were numerous children's prince couples, princesses, and princes from friendly societies, who together created a colorful, cheerful, and atmospheric picture of the Saarland carnival.
The VSK Youth and the KG Die Rosselanos 1955 e.V. sincerely thank all the participating clubs, helpers, and the many visitors who made this event an unforgettable experience.
With the Children's Carnival Show 2026, it became clear once again how lively, diverse, and future-proof the Saarland carnival is – and that its young revelers are in the best hands. The enthusiasm and sense of community of all participants impressively demonstrate that carnival in Saarland is more than just tradition – it is lived joy and connects generations.
