The fairy tale festival, canceled at the end of June due to extreme heat, will now take place on
August 16 from 2 to 6 pm at Burg Dagstuhl.
Rapunzel lets her braid fall down the castle wall, Sleeping Beauty is kissed awake by her prince under the maple tree, the Frog Prince retrieves the golden ball from the well for the princess, and the wolf wants to catch the seven kids before the castle moat.
Everyone knows the fairy tales from the famous collection by the Brothers Grimm. On August 16, these and other fairy tale characters will come to life at Burg Dagstuhl, having had a heat break at the end of June, and will delight both young and old fairy tale fans.
The actors from the theater clubs of Lockweiler and Nunkirchen will slip into the roles of queens and witches. In addition, the organizers, the Cultural Office of the City of Wadern, the Wadern City Library, and the Wadern-Weiskirchen Youth Office, have come up with a great supporting program around the theme of fairy tales: In large fairy tale tents, reading mentors from the Wadern City Library will read exciting fairy tales aloud, and there will be a quiz at the fairy tale stations. At the creative workshop, children can craft freely and work with clay.
Of course, all this fairytale hustle and bustle makes you hungry and thirsty. Therefore, the Naturfreunde Dagstuhl will take care of the physical well-being of both young and old guests. Free parking is available at the forest parking lot at Pilz, at Schloss Dagstuhl, at the Union Bauzentrum, and at the community center in Dagstuhl.

The fairy tale festival takes place in cooperation with the Cultural Office of the City of Wadern, the theater clubs Lockweiler and NuNa Nunkirchen, the City Library, and the Youth Office Wadern-Weiskirchen.
