CELTIKA: Rock, Folk & Culture in the European Culture Park
The Moselle Department, the Ministry of Education and Culture of Saarland, and the Saarpfalz district invite you on Friday, August 7, and Saturday, August 8, 2026, to the first edition of “CELTIKA.” As a development of the “Nuits Celtiques” at Malbrouck Castle, this new cross-border event offers an extraordinary musical experience amidst the impressive archaeological excavations of the European Culture Park Bliesbruck-Reinheim. For an entire weekend, Celtic sounds will fill this unique place with more than two thousand years of history.
For one weekend, the archaeology park is entirely dedicated to bagpipes, harps, flutes, and percussion. In this exceptional setting, artists and bands from various countries bring the musical traditions of Brittany, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and other Celtic-influenced regions to life.
The first-ever cross-border event taking place in Bliesbruck (France) and Reinheim (Germany) stands for encounter, exchange, and the cultural richness of Europe. A total of nine bands from the fields of Celtic Rock, Celtic Punk, and Irish Folk provide a varied program that offers something for every musical taste in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Cross the border in the sound of Celtic music, discover an extraordinary archaeological heritage, and experience unforgettable moments in a place where past and present naturally blend together.
Moreover, visitors have the opportunity to explore the cultural offerings on the German side free of charge, including the Princess's Grave, which, as an outstanding testimony to Celtic history, uniquely complements the event visit.
Admission to the museums and the special exhibition “Gold in the Sand – the Discovery of the Princess's Grave” is included in the ticket price.
The museum offerings can be visited on Friday, August 7, 2026, until 6 p.m., and on Saturday, August 8, 2026, until 7 p.m.
