On 22.07.2026 at around 07:00 a.m., a traffic accident with subsequent hit-and-run occurred on the BAB 6 in the direction of Mannheim, between the Neunkirchen motorway interchange and the Homburg junction.
The accident perpetrator and the victim were driving on the left lane of BAB 6 between the Neunkirchen motorway interchange and the Homburg junction with their respective cars. About 500 meters before the Homburg junction, the underbody protection of the perpetrator’s car came loose, was thrown onto the roadway and collided with the front of the victim’s car. The victim’s car suffered property damage in the four-digit euro range. Afterwards, the perpetrator continued driving and left the scene of the accident without permission.
The police are now investigating hit-and-run and are seeking witnesses to the traffic accident. If witnesses can provide information about the accident or the vehicle responsible, they are asked to contact the St. Ingbert police at 06894/1090.
