During the period from 22.07.2026 at 15:00 until 22.07.2026 at 15:30, a driver, as a result of consuming alcoholic beverages, operated his vehicle on Elversberger Straße heading towards Josefstaler Straße in St. Ingbert. The driver overtook a vehicle in an area of limited visibility on a curve, causing oncoming traffic participants to swerve onto the curb to avoid a collision.
The police are now investigating on suspicion of driving under the influence and endangering road traffic and are searching for witnesses or victims related to the incident.
