“Gradselääds!” - Dialect Evening at Haus Saargau in Wallerfangen-Gisingen

The district of Saarlouis and the Mundartring Saar jointly celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Saarland-wide association on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. The event starts at 5:30 pm at Haus Saargau in the Wallerfangen district of Gisingen. Admission is free.

The Mundartring Saar brings together numerous authors who write poems and stories in their Rhine- and Moselle-Franconian dialects – published in the quarterly “Mundartpost.” Fifteen years ago, the best texts were compiled in “Wäär gaggerd, muss ach lee‘e,” and in 2026 the anthology with 120 selected texts by 60 authors will be titled “Gradselääds!”

At the “Dialect Evening,” guests can expect a 90-minute entertaining program with readings in various dialects as well as a lecture on dialects in Saarland.
