On 19.07.2026, around 11:30 p.m., a parked Opel Insignia with HOM district license plate caught fire in the P&R parking lot of the BAB 6, Homburg junction. The fire brigades from Kleinottweiler and Bexbach Mitte were able to extinguish the fire quickly.
The resulting property damage to the vehicle amounts to several thousand euros.

According to the current state of investigations, it is unclear whether the fire was caused by a technical defect or human action. The investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
