KELTOI 2026 – The Celtic Festival Returns to Nonnweiler on August 1 and 2
On August 1 and 2, 2026, the National Park Gateway Celtic Park in Nonnweiler-Otzenhausen will once again transform into a lively setting of antiquity. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, the municipality of Nonnweiler, together with the National Park Gateway Celtic Park, invites visitors to the traditional KELTOI – The Celtic Festival. Visitors can look forward to a weekend full of history, crafts, music, and interactive activities for the whole family.

What began as an archaeological project around the Celtic ring wall has developed into a fixture in the regional event calendar. After the great success of its revival in 2024, guests can once again look forward to an authentic and varied program in 2026.
The focus is the living Celtic village, created by the Friends of the Celtic Ring Wall Otzenhausen e. V. Here, visitors experience the daily life of the Celts up close – with historical crafts techniques, demonstrations, and numerous interactive activities for the whole family. The program is complemented by a crafts market featuring traditional handicrafts and regional products.
On both days of the event, numerous guided tours will take place – including tours of the Celtic ring wall, the Celtic village, and the healing and kitchen herbs of the Celts. Ranger-led tours offer exciting insights into the nature of the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park.
A special highlight on Saturday is the Celtic dance workshop at 2 p.m. In the evening, starting at 5 p.m., Andagda invites guests to a Celtic table with a three-course menu and stories about Celtic cuisine (advance registration required). From 6:30 p.m., the day ends with an atmospheric Celtic evening featuring live music by the Schamrock Duo in the Celtic village.

All-day musical performances create the atmosphere, while from 11 a.m., a matinée with a lively lecture on Celtic-Roman combat arts and warfare provides fascinating insights into the past (advance registration required).
Tickets cost 5 euros for adults and 3 euros for children aged four and above. Particularly attractive is the combination ticket for both event days. All tickets are available in advance at the municipality’s ticket shop but can also be purchased on-site on the day of the event.
Travel freely and comfortably
The organizers recommend traveling by public transport or using the free shuttle service. Visitors can conveniently park at the European Academy Otzenhausen. From there, a free shuttle bus runs every 15 minutes between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., bringing guests directly to the event site at the National Park Gateway Celtic Park, with a stop at the Otzenhausen flea market. Parking spaces directly at the event location are limited.
