Weiskirchen. Our hike starts on August 1st at 1:30 pm at the Schützenhaus in Reidelbach. We will initially follow the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig signage to the Hochwald-Alm. There we will take a longer break to replenish ourselves for the rest of the route.
Afterwards, the path takes us via the "Wadrilltal-Tafeltour" towards Wadrill. Below the Harteichhütte, we turn right and shortly afterward return to the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig. Depending on the weather, we either head directly back to Reidelbach from here or – in nice hiking weather – follow forest roads and trails until we meet the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig again above Steinberg. From there, we hike back to the starting point in Reidelbach.
The hike covers about 10 kilometers with approximately 250 meters of elevation gain.
A good basic fitness level is required, as well as weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy footwear, and sufficient provisions. The cost of the hike is 5.00 euros per person.
