Sewer rehabilitation in the Vogelsang area: Traffic restrictions from July 27

The wastewater utility of the Europastadt Saarlouis is rehabilitating the public sewer system in the Vogelsang area. Despite carrying out the work as trenchless rehabilitation in a closed construction method, extensive traffic safety measures are still required to ensure the execution and the safety of the personnel.

The section affected stretches from Metzer Straße through Schwarzbachstraße up to the junction Soutyhofstraße/Ferdinand-Heil-Straße. While only minor interventions in the form of a temporary reduction by one lane are necessary on Metzer Straße, the work at the junction Soutyhofstraße/Ferdinand-Heil-Straße and Schwarzbachstraße must be carried out under full closure. An appropriate detour will be set up and signposted in due time.

Based on the forecasted weather conditions, the work is scheduled to begin on 27.07.2026 with an expected duration of 2 weeks.

The wastewater utility asks the affected residents for understanding regarding possible noise disturbances and traffic disruptions, which may occur despite careful planning and the protective measures taken.
