This morning around 06:20 a.m., a traffic accident occurred on the BAB 620 in the direction of Mannheim. In the construction zone between the St. Arnual and Schönbach junctions, the driver of a Fiat Doblo was in the middle of an overtaking maneuver on the left of the two lanes there when a parallel-moving tractor-trailer suddenly swerved left. This resulted in a side collision between the car and the tractor-trailer. While the 31-year-old driver of the Fiat remained uninjured, considerable property damage was caused to her vehicle. According to current knowledge, the previously unknown driver of the tractor-trailer fled the accident scene without permission following the incident.
It is currently only known that the trailer of the tractor-trailer was covered with a red tarpaulin. Anyone who can provide relevant information about the accident or the fleeing tractor-trailer is asked to contact the PI Saarbrücken-Stadt at the telephone number 0681 / 9321233.
