Generous donation from the company Crown for the projects “EINKlang” and “Citizens in Need” in the Saarlouis district
The Saarlouis district is receiving financial support from the company Crown from Saarlouis in the amount of a total of 15,000 euros. 7,500 euros each are being made available to the inclusive festival “EINKlang” as well as to the aid fund “Citizens in Need” (BIN) of the Saarlouis district. With the donation, both a cultural inclusion project and a low-threshold support service for people in special social distress are being promoted.
The inclusive music festival EINKlang takes place every two years in the Saarlouis district and has established itself as a successful project for promoting cultural participation and inclusion. The focus is on artists with and without disabilities who perform together on stage and create a diverse musical program.
The festival brings together people of different origins, generations, and life realities. Musicians from various countries perform and create encounters beyond cultural and social boundaries through their art. EINKlang offers space for shared experiences, exchange, and mutual understanding, making the diversity of society visible.
The goal of the festival is to break down barriers, promote social participation, and sustainably strengthen community in the Saarlouis district. The next edition of the festival will take place on October 24, 2026, and will once again invite numerous visitors to a special weekend full of music, culture, and encounters.
The aid fund “Citizens in Need” (BIN) of the Saarlouis district supports residents who have fallen into financial hardship through no fault of their own. The assistance is provided quickly, unbureaucratically, and immediately. The fund is intended to bridge short-term financial bottlenecks, especially in cases where other social security systems do not or cannot intervene in time. In this way, the fund complements existing aid structures in the district and contributes to the immediate support of those affected.
District Administrator Patrik Lauer expresses enthusiasm about the company’s commitment: “Support on this scale is anything but a matter of course and gives us great pleasure. Through their commitment, the company Crown sets a strong example of social responsibility and solidarity. The funding enables us to continue and further develop important projects that bring people together, create participation, and strengthen social cohesion in our district. I am very grateful for this generous support.”
The financial grant flows into the ongoing work of both projects and helps to further develop them according to needs.
