Ziegler Bakery remains – and is also open during the renovation phase
On Monday, July 6, 2026, the municipality of Quierschied was informed by REWE Markt GmbH that the REWE store above the marketplace in Quierschied will be converted into a PENNY store. The last opening day of the REWE market is July 25, 2026; the PENNY market will open after the renovation phase ends in November (the municipality reported). Now, Ziegler Bakery, which operates a branch in the consumer market building, has spoken out publicly and confirmed the continuation of its branch: “Even during the renovation period, you can continue to buy your daily bread and many other delicacies from us. Of course, our café will also remain open. It is important that there are cozy places in the village for encounters and interpersonal exchange. We greatly value our regular customers and firmly believe in the location Quierschied. We also look forward to working with Penny,” reads a post on social media.
