Attached we send the following witness appeal with the request for publication:
On Sunday, 05.07.2026 around 2:00 PM, the regulatory office received a report of illegal waste disposal in Merchingen near the hiking parking lot of the L346 on the Saarland circular hiking trail.
This included, among other things, filled canisters that pose a danger to animals and the environment, a door, vehicle parts, etc.
Illegal waste disposal incurs high costs that are ultimately borne by the public.
Who can provide information about the perpetrator?
The Public Order Office requests information via email at ordnungsamt@merzig.de or by phone at 06861/85327. Every piece of information is important!
Of course, this also applies to waste deposits in other places, as cleanliness in our city concerns us all. A clean cityscape promotes quality of life and well-being and is therefore in the interest of all citizens. Please help with this and report any findings to the public order office.
