Saarland strengthens the rule of law: New online watch tile for officials, mandate holders, and emergency personnel
# „Office, Mandate & Deployment“ facilitates the digital reporting of threats, insults, and assaults.
The Saarland police are expanding their online station with the tile "Office, mandate & mission." It enables office and mandate holders as well as emergency personnel from fire and rescue services to quickly and easily report threats, insults, and assaults digitally.
“With the new tile, we are creating an easy and direct access to report incidents and initiate criminal prosecution. The crucial point is that such attacks must not go unpunished. The rule of law must be capable of acting and provide support to those who commit themselves to our community,” says Interior Minister Reinhold Jost.
The tile facilitates the reporting of incidents and thus supports law enforcement. At the same time, an important signal is sent: Attempts at intimidation, threats, and violence are not a form of political or social discourse and are consistently prosecuted.
With the new tile, Saarland strengthens the protection of people who take responsibility – in political voluntary positions, in municipal roles, or in efforts to ensure the safety of the population.
