As part of a police operation today (08.07.2026) at around 11:00 a.m., a 37-year-old man announced his suicide when the officers approached his apartment on Provinzialstraße in Saarlouis-Lisdorf. The man was alone in the apartment at that time. After the involvement of appropriate special units, the person was secured around 3:00 p.m.
Today, officers from the Saarlouis Police Department searched for a residence on Provinzialstraße in Saarlouis-Lisdorf to check on a person with psychological issues. However, the man did not open the door for the police and threatened to kill himself.
After the appropriate special forces were called to the scene, the man was eventually secured with minor injuries. The 37-year-old was taken into custody with the aim of being detained.
The police operations on site have been completed.
