Events of the City Library in the Coming Week
The state capital points to the events of the Saarbrücken City Library in the coming week.
Exhibition "50 Years of the Old Town Festival – Posters Tell History"
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Saarbrücken Old Town Festival, which was celebrated in early July, a accompanying exhibition is running at the city library. Until Saturday, July 18, all official posters of the Old Town Festival from 1975 to today are on display. Interested visitors can view the exhibition during the city library's opening hours. Admission is free, and no registration is required.
Summer Holiday Program
Also in the coming week,
a variety of events from the city library’s summer holiday program will be offered.
At the Culture and Reading Meeting Brebach, a Mario Party game day for children aged 6 to 12 will take place on Tuesday, July 14, at 1 p.m. Registration is requested, either by phone at +49 681 905-2460 or by email at kultur-und-lesetreff.brebach@saarbruecken.de.
The team from the Culture and Reading Meeting Malstatt will make a stop with the reading wagon on Thursday, July 16, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the playground on Hambacher Platz in Malstatt.
At the Culture and Reading Meeting Burbach, there will also be a magic workshop for children from 8 years old on Thursday, July 16th, at 3 pm with magic professional Henri Hainz. Registrations can be made by phone at

On Friday, July 17th, at 11 am, the story “Fiete – The Sunken Ship” will be read aloud in the Central Library. Afterwards, experiments with the element water are planned. The event is suitable for children from 4 years old. Registrations are possible at
www.stadtbibliothek.saarbruecken.de.
Participation in the events is free of charge.

Board Games Evening
Games from the Top 100 list of BoardGame Geek are on the program for the board games evening for adults at the Kultur- und Lesetreff Brebach on Thursday, July 16, 7 p.m. You can also bring your own games. Registrations are made by phone at +49 681 905-2460 or by email to
kultur-und-lesetreff.brebach@saarbruecken.de. Participation is free of charge.
