Mayor Maurer welcomes new employee:
Rieka Schmitt (28)
The employees of the Regulatory Office of the municipality of Quierschied are pleased about further reinforcement: Since July 1, 2026, Rieka Schmitt has been part of their team. The 28-year-old native of Ottweiler completed training as an administrative specialist at the Bexbach city administration between 2017 and 2020. Before moving to the municipality of Quierschied, Rieka Schmitt worked as a clerical officer in the citizen services department at the Bexbach city administration (until 2022) and at the Friedrichsthal city administration (2022 to 2026). Since 2025 until presumably 2028, she has been pursuing a part-time degree in public administration business management at the Administrative and Economic Academy in Kaiserslautern. At the municipality of Quierschied, she takes care of various concerns in the Citizen and Registry Office.
“I was warmly welcomed here by all colleagues and feel very comfortable in our team,” says Schmitt, who lives in Friedrichsthal. Mayor Lutz Maurer warmly welcomes Ms. Schmitt and looks forward to working together.
