The volunteers in the municipality of Quierschied carry out exemplary and indispensable work in many areas through their voluntary and unpaid efforts. This forms the basis for cohesion and peaceful coexistence in society.
The range of volunteer helpers in Quierschied, Fischbach-Camphausen, and Göttelborn extends from classic club work in sports and culture to social commitment, environmental protection, and preservation of customs, as well as fire and disaster protection or emergency services.
With the annual awarding of the Volunteer Award (since 2019), the municipality sends a strong signal to all those who dedicate and engage themselves for others in their free time. All citizens are once again invited to nominate persons eligible for the Volunteer Award of the municipality of Quierschied.
Nominations, including reasons, can be submitted in writing by July 31, 2026, via email to kultur@quierschied.de or by mail to Rathausplatz 1, 66287 Quierschied at the municipal administration.
