On July 2nd, a driver of a gray VW Caddy was seen driving erratically in Namborn, repeatedly crossing into the oncoming lane. Police found signs of impaired driving and ask witnesses who had to swerve to come forward. Investigations into possible traffic endangerment are ongoing.

On Thursday, 02.07.2026, around 7:00 PM, a gray VW Caddy was traveling on the route from Selbach towards Namborn. Witnesses observed that the driver was operating the vehicle unsafely and repeatedly drove into the opposite lane, forcing oncoming vehicles to swerve. The police from St. Wendel, who had been notified, were eventually able to stop the driver in Namborn for a traffic check and found indications of impaired driving ability. The St. Wendel police now ask drivers who had to avoid the Caddy to contact them by phone at 06851/898-0.
