On Friday evening, Kölsche feeling of life with plenty of party hits is on the program before the sounds of New Orleans take over the Homburg city center at the jazz brunch on Saturday. At "Querbeat" on Friday, July 10, starting at 7 p.m., the band "Hey Kölle" ensures a great atmosphere. The group is dedicated to the best-known songs of the Cologne rock, pop, and party scene and brings the big hits of bands like Brings, Höhner, Bläck Fööss, Paveier, Kasalla, or Cat Ballou to the stage. Whether rock, pop, or emotional – "Hey Kölle" combines musical quality with infectious joy in playing and creates a genuine Kölsch party feeling. Classics like "Verdamp lang her," "Superjeile Zick," or "Wenn nicht jetzt, wann dann?" are part of the program as well as newer hits. The repertoire is complemented by selected German rock and pop classics, so the audience can look forward to a lively summer evening full of familiar melodies and sing-along moments. At the jazz brunch on Saturday, July 11, the Sazerac Swingers will be guests from 10:30 a.m. The award-winning group is devoted to the original sound of jazz and brings the musical spirit of New Orleans to the Historic Market Square. With great enthusiasm and high musical quality, the band combines traditional jazz sounds with fresh influences and a modern approach. Sometimes the sounds of the streets of New Orleans can be heard, at times the audience is transported to the "Roaring Twenties," and then Latin rhythms and surprising arrangements add special accents.
