On Saturday, 04.07.2026, several assemblies took place in Saarbrücken between 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Under the motto "Remigration. Now!" up to about 25 people gathered and subsequently conducted a procession through the city center of Saarbrücken. At this assembly, one participant wore a DFB jersey from 2024 with the back number 44, where the 4 resembles a Sig rune. The jersey was confiscated and proceedings were initiated on suspicion of using symbols of unconstitutional and terrorist organizations according to § 86a of the Criminal Code. Furthermore, one participant carried a federal service flag. Its private use constitutes an administrative offense under § 124 of the OWiG. The use of the flag during the assembly was prohibited, and proceedings were also initiated. Two counter-demonstrations, including one under the theme "Against Remigration. For Democracy and Human Dignity," were attended by up to 70 people who also spontaneously registered a procession with the police and followed the first demonstration. Between the two assemblies and sometimes with passersby, there were verbal provocations and loud exchanges of opinions. Police forces prevented further confrontations. The assemblies and processions were accompanied without disturbances.
