On July 2, 2026, around 12:55 PM, a traffic accident involving three cars occurred on the B423 between Homburg and Schwarzenbach. The driver of a car coming from Schwarzenbach, for reasons unknown so far, veered onto the opposite lane and collided with two oncoming vehicles. All drivers suffered minor injuries, and two people had to be transported to nearby hospitals. The three vehicles involved were no longer drivable and had to be towed. During the accident investigation and recovery work, the B423 was only passable with one lane, and traffic was controlled by the police.
