On 30.06.26 at around 12:30 p.m., an unknown male offender rang the doorbell of a single-family home in Bliesdalheim and presented himself to the victim as a fire protection officer from an insurance company. Under the pretext of inspecting the fire protection of the residence, the offender gained access. There, he distracted the victim in such a way that he was able to steal cash unnoticed.
On 01.07.26, a similar case occurred in Walsheim. Here too, the perpetrator posed as a fire protection officer from an insurance company in order to gain access to the residential property.
In both cases, the perpetrator is described as male, approximately 170 - 175 cm tall, slim, about 55 years old, of Western European phenotype, and speaks German without an accent. Witnesses who can provide useful information are asked to contact the Homburg police station (Tel.: 06841/1060).
