In spring 2026, a 63-year-old woman contacted a supposed Russian fortune teller, author, and media personality to use her services. In this context, several money transactions were made to the scammers who impersonated the well-known Russian medium. The police are now searching for one of the perpetrators with a composite sketch and ask the public for assistance.
Under the pretext of needing money to procure materials for performing special rituals, the 63-year-old woman was asked to pay several sums of money. She was repeatedly assured that the amounts would be repaid after the rituals were completed, which, however, did not happen.
On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, a meeting took place in the parking lot of an electronics store on Kirkeler Straße in Neunkirchen with an alleged employee of the Russian media. After the woman handed over a low five-figure sum of money to the unknown man, she received a gemstone of considerably lesser value in return.
