Still places available: Language courses at the VHS during the summer holidays
The St. Ingbert Adult Education Center offers several intensive language courses during the summer holidays. Those who want to use their free time to learn a new language or refresh existing skills will find an attractive selection in English and Spanish.
The start is made by the Spanish summer course for beginners from July 20 to 24, 2026. The one-week intensive course is aimed at participants with no prior knowledge and teaches the basics of the Spanish language. In a pleasant learning atmosphere, participants learn to introduce themselves, conduct simple conversations, and master typical everyday situations in vacation or work linguistically. The classes take place daily from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Kulturhaus St. Ingbert. The course fee is 67 euros. Registration link: www.vhs-igb.de/4.2202.
Starting July 27, 2026, the two-week Spanish course for beginners with prior knowledge will begin. The intensive course is aimed at learners with a good basic knowledge and is based on level A1. In addition to reviewing important language structures, vocabulary, grammar, and expressive skills are specifically expanded. Communicative exercises and practical everyday situations are the focus. The course takes place on ten dates, each from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The participation fee is 133 euros. Registration link: www.vhs-igb.de/4.2203.
Also starting from July 27, 2026, the VHS offers the intensive course "English for Travel and Vacation." The course is aimed at beginners with limited prior knowledge at the A1 level. In typical travel situations such as checking in at a hotel, ordering in a restaurant, or asking for directions, participants acquire practical language skills for their next vacation. The focus is on speaking, understanding, and confidently using useful phrases. The course takes place on ten occasions from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The course fee is 100 euros.
