Starting at 8:00 a.m., numerous participation offers for all grade levels transformed the school grounds into a place of trying out, movement, and encounters. In total, 13 clubs and institutions from the region presented their offerings at 15 stations, inviting the children to get to know different sports and leisure activities and to get active themselves. Represented were the St. Ingbert Music School, Special Olympics Saarland, TTC Lautzkirchen, the basketball division of TV St. Ingbert 1881 with the Saints St. Ingbert, the NABU Group St. Ingbert, the Rohrbach Fruit and Gardening Association, DLRG Neunkirchen, the 1st Juggersport Club Saar-Pfalz, the Judo and Ju-Jutsu Club St. Ingbert, the St. Ingbert Cycling Club, the KSV 68 Wrestling Club St. Ingbert, the German Red Cross (Rohrbach local branch) as well as DJK SG St. Ingbert – many visiting the Community School Rohrbach for the umpteenth time. Additional support was provided to the school by the State Sports Association for Saarland, which supplied two trained coaches for the school's own Calisthenics Park. The program included not only well-known sports – many students were also able to explore completely new activities, discovering new talents and interests. Whether in Jugger, wrestling, the new violence prevention concept of the Judo and Ju-Jutsu Club, apple fishing, or learning about the work of nature conservation and aid organizations – there was something for every taste. Due to the midsummer temperatures, the program was adapted to the weather conditions. To protect everyone involved, the school jointly decided with the clubs to offer a time-reduced schedule. At the same time, a comprehensive concept for cooling and refreshments was implemented: a refreshment station with water mist provided pleasant cooling between the participatory activities. In addition, students had free access to chilled watermelon and mineral water. Complementary isotonic drinks, apple spritzers, and freshly grilled sausages were available for purchase at cost price. Thus, the day was able to be conducted safely, comfortably, and with great joy despite the heat. The Day of the Clubs pursues a clear goal, explains the organizer of this event day, Christoph Groß, who is responsible as a specialist coordinator, among other things, for the sports area of the school: Children and young people should be enthused for sports, exercise, culture, and club life. At the same time, the event offers local clubs the opportunity to present themselves to a young audience and attract new members for their offerings. Shared experiences, team spirit, and joy in movement were the focus. School principal Susanne Fritz is particularly pleased with the development compared to the previous year. The number of participating clubs has tripled. This positive feedback reflects the great commitment of the individual institutions and the successful cooperation between the school and extracurricular partners. Therefore, the school community looks optimistically to the future. Besides promoting club sports, the collaboration also opens up new perspectives for the school’s all-day program. The aim is to win more external partners who engage both during lunch breaks and project times, thus sustainably enriching the school's offerings. Community School St. Ingbert-Rohrbach sincerely thanks all participating clubs, institutions, and numerous volunteer helpers whose efforts contributed to the success of this special day. Special thanks go to the supporting parents who helped with refreshments and catering, ensuring that the day became a successful experience for all participants despite the extreme temperatures. The Day of the Clubs impressively demonstrated the value of cooperation between school and clubs. It offered students not only an eventful school day but also made an important contribution to promoting exercise, community, and social engagement.
