From July 3 to 6, the area around Gustavsburg and the castle pond transforms into a lively festival landscape. The opening takes place on Friday, July 3, at 6 p.m. with the inauguration of an art exhibition in the Great Hall of Gustavsburg. Mayor Michael Forster and local head Philip Vollmar will open the exhibition featuring works by the artist Eugen Waßmann. From 7 p.m., the official opening of the beach festival takes place on the stage at Weiherdamm – traditionally with the tapping of the keg. The festival is opened by Mayor Michael Forster, local head Philip Vollmar, and the CDU parliamentary group leader in the Saarland state parliament, Stephan Toscani. The musical program at the beach festival is again broad and spread across two stages. The hunting horn players of the St. Ingbert Hunting Friends provide musical accompaniment. From 2 p.m., the Reiskirchen Music Association plays on the stage at Weiherdamm. The dance group SOUVENIR performs again in between. Another special highlight is the walking act "Samba O’Leck," which provides musical entertainment and summer flair around the castle pond on Sunday afternoon.
