Statement from Consumer Protection Minister Berg on the End of the Fuel Discount
“The end of the fuel discount, just like its introduction two months ago, must not be a free pass for extra profits for the oil companies. The Federal Cartel Office is now called upon to closely monitor price developments and to act decisively in case of irregularities.
Consumers must have the assurance that relief measures are not passed on only reluctantly or even partially, while burdens arrive immediately and possibly in an excessive manner.”
