Rock band from Nantes performs at Saarbrücken Old Town Festival
As part of the Saarbrücken Old Town Festival, a music group from Saarbrücken’s partner city Nantes will once again perform on the stage at the Rockwiese below the Music Conservatory this year.
The band "Doing Something Dangerous with Style" is the guest, performing on Friday, July 3rd, starting at 8 p.m. The three musicians, aged between 20 and 30, have established themselves since their band's founding in 2023 as one of the most promising groups in the Nantes scene. They play indie rock with British influences.
As part of the Saarbrücken Old Town Festival, the youth culture center Café Exodus has been organizing and hosting the Rockwiese since 2001. The event focuses on young, regional bands and offers 20 music groups each year the opportunity to perform on stage in front of a large audience. Among the music genres represented are rock, punk, metal, core, and indie. A panel of eight volunteers aged between 16 and 27 selected the band from Nantes for the Rockwiese this spring from several applications.
The state capital Saarbrücken has been twinned with Nantes since 1965.
