Hello,
Attached is a press release from the city of St. Ingbert with a request for publication.
St. Ingbert celebrates: A weekend full of music and top entertainment
On July 3rd and 4th, the city center of St. Ingbert will once again turn into a festival mile: the 47th Ingobertus Festival 2026 attracts visitors with live music, culinary variety, and a diverse program for the whole family. The traditional opening takes place on Friday from 5 p.m. at Maxplatz with the tapping of the keg by the St. Ingbert brewery Herz & Heimat, a performance by the Bergkapelle St. Ingbert, and the salute shooting by the shooting club.
The stage program starts at 6 p.m. on the stage at Maxplatz with MEP-Live, who entertain the guests with unplugged interpretations of classics from rock, pop, country, and blues, full of passion. The trio captivates with multi-part vocals, extraordinary arrangements, and well-known songs – authentic, live, and exhilarating. From 10 p.m., Theke 1 brings the lively party playlist to Maxplatz. The acoustic duo from Saarbrücken makes the stage shake with six instruments and plenty of energy. Singing along, dancing, and celebrating are highly encouraged!
On the stage at the Im Sumpe parking lot, in the so-called Bermuda Triangle, there is a special supporting program this year. When research meets music: from 6 p.m., the band of the CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security "She said Boom" will play, bringing a groovy mix of soul, blues-rock, indie, alternative, chansons, and punk to the stage. With musical diversity, joy of playing, and a varied repertoire, the band ensures a lively start in the Bermuda Triangle. At 7 p.m., the Grand Finale CISPA European Cybersecurity & AI Hackathon Championship award ceremony will take place. The best teams had previously qualified for the final in St. Ingbert through five regional 24-hour hackathons in Paris, Vienna, Stockholm, Warsaw, and Barcelona. With the honoring of the winners, the championship promoting young talent in the field of cybersecurity and securing Europe's digital future reaches its festive conclusion. From 8 p.m., it gets rhythmic and energetic: reggae, rock, and ska merge into a unique musical fireworks display. With their captivating stage presence, powerful messages, and plenty of joy for life, Oku and the Reggaerockers thrill their audience far beyond genre boundaries. Music to dance, empathize, and reflect to. From 11 p.m., Friday offers another highlight: the multiple award-winning beatbox band The Razzzones impresses with a spectacular live show full of musical surprises. From hip hop to funk to techno, from well-known hits to original songs – what the four artists create solely with mouth and voice must be experienced.
The unplugged stage, which found a new location at the Olk Passage last year, transforms the pedestrian zone into a cozy concert area from 6 p.m. onwards. NOJO – that’s two friends, two guitars, two voices. With legendary classic rock hits in their very own unplugged style, they bring handcrafted live music to the stage that goes straight to the ear and the heart. The Tony Crash Trio captivates from 9 p.m. with pure rock’n’roll and rockabilly, taking its audience straight back to the golden 1950s. With driving slap bass and distinctive guitar riffs, a sound full of joy and a zest for life is created.
Saturday starts at 11:30 AM at Maxplatz with the Laabtaler Musikanten and a traditional Weißwurst breakfast hosted by FC Viktoria. From 2 PM, the sounds of the Jagdfreunde St. Ingbert e.V. can be heard, followed by musical performances from the Musikverein Hochscheid-Reichenbrunn e.V. at 3 PM, enriching the day with lively melodies. Starting at 6 PM, Slowhand brings the greatest classics and unforgettable hits of guitar legend Eric Clapton authentically to the stage. Look forward to legendary songs, virtuosic guitar solos, and genuine concert vibes with honest rock music. Closing the stage at Maxplatz from 10 PM onward is Bruise. Captivating, energetic, and full of playful spirit, the band delights with a varied mix of rock, pop, and hip-hop. From timeless classics to modern hits – great atmosphere is guaranteed, and Maxplatz will become a huge open-air party.
On the Im Sumpe stage, this year starting already at 11:30 AM, the humorous dialect guitar duo "Mussig fa de Spass" brings the best vibes with Saarland charm and lots of good cheer. From 2 PM, we welcome our guests from Luxembourg, Harmonie des Mineurs Esch/Alzette, to the stage, and from 3 PM, the Rentrisch e.V. Music Association can be enjoyed with lots of fun and joy. From 6 PM, REFLEXX takes us back to the golden era of pop and rock music, presenting the biggest hits of the 80s with great passion and musical diversity. Look forward to unforgettable classics that invite you to sing along, dance, and enjoy. From 10 PM, Changes brings the best party mood with pure energy, powerful sound, and the biggest party cover hits. From rock to pop to real crowd-pleasers – no one will be sitting for long here.
On the unplugged stage, JA-Klar can be heard on Saturdays from 6 p.m. with handmade singer-songwriter acoustic pop from Saarbrücken.
Honest lyrics, soulful melodies, and everyday stories create the special charm of the trio. From 9 p.m., three experienced dedicated musicians rock with an impressive repertoire and plenty of enthusiasm: A.C.O. present powerful rock classics, pop, and folk songs in acoustic guise and provide a perfect finale on the unplugged stage with virtuosic instrumental playing, multi-part vocals, and genuine live energy.
The rock stage at the Schmelzer parking lot between Poststraße and Kaiserstraße will also be organized this year by the Rockförderverein St. Ingbert e.V. On Friday from 6:30 PM, 20 DAYS DULL, DEZENT, KIDS IN A CAGE, DRAWN BY EVIL, and SONIC CIRCUS will provide plenty of rock power. On Saturday, starting at 6:30 PM, OCC, KILLINIT, JOHNBOY, FIRE MUSIC, and to crown the event, BEYOND DARKNESS will take the stage.
For the little ones, the Schmelzer parking lot transforms into a play and adventure paradise on Saturdays from 1 to 5 p.m., featuring bouncy castles, bungee trampolines, face painting, glitter tattoos and colorful streaks, craft activities, and other interactive events. Special walk acts delight and entertain the young visitors. From 2 p.m., various children's dance groups from St. Ingbert clubs showcase their skills. At 3 p.m., Sonni Sonnenschein enchants the kids with her fairy tale hour, turning the children's festival into a dreamy setting.
