Good day,
Attached is a press release from the city of St. Ingbert with a request for publication.
WoolArt - the cool feel-good oasis in the St. Ingbert city library
People who cast on and pick up stitches together in a cozy group are simply following their passion for creativity. You can observe them at the St. Ingbert City Library, where they regularly meet at WoolArt, the relaxing gathering for creative and free knitting. In a relaxed atmosphere, they knit together, help each other, discuss their craft, laugh, try out new ideas, and talk about future trends.
The creative meeting led by Patricia Wiesmeier has been taking place regularly for over a year and is gaining popularity. An average of ten people of all age groups, not just women, have attended the fifteen events so far. The oldest participant is 93 years old, and the longest journey to the gatherings comes from the Kusel district. It is increasingly becoming known that handicrafts don’t only work alone on the home couch but are best enjoyed together. In this chatty group, bags, scarves, socks, sweaters, or wool blankets are created. Imagination knows no bounds. Anyone with basic knitting skills is warmly invited. Participation is free of charge.
This format fits very well into the framework of the city library, which repeatedly presents itself as a versatile creative meeting point in the heart of the city. In addition, there is a wide range of specialist literature and media here, for example on beginner books and knitting patterns. This also ensures excellent resources for acquiring theoretical knowledge.
The next dates are already set: WoolArt will take place on July 9 and July 30, each at 3 p.m. Registration is requested by phone at 06894/13-711 or by email to stadtbuecherei@st-ingbert.de
